Phone Dump Friday: Halloween Party Edition
I LOVE Halloween! We had a party at our casa this year to add in an extra day of dressing up, plus I have been itching for some type of creative outlet for all the crap I pin on Pinterest.
1. I'm a zombie obsessed freak since Walking Dead came out and it turned out to be an amazing show. I found this pack of zombie's at the dollar store and knew they would be perfect for eating the brains of my romantic couple dancing in the dining room. They are flanked by a pack of Martha Stewart bat cut outs.
Me: Look husband, it doesn't pay to be romantic during the zombie apocalypse.
Hubby: That's my woman, a few french fries short of a happy meal.
Ocean: Those are yucky mommy's.
2. I put some skeleton twins in the bathtub covered in a cobweb bath with bath toys. I told the twins to go into the bathroom and see who was having a bath in their tub. They thought it was hilarious. They told lots of people "hey, go into our bath and see who is in there." Some kids were scared though. Oops!
3. Evil donuts! This was so easy, two dozen pumpkin donuts from Dunkin, frosting eyes and the .99 vampire teeth from Walmart. The teeth were busting the donuts open so I ended up cutting them in half and then putting them in the donuts and worked much better.
4. Dirt cake graveyard. The dirt cake is so good, it tastes like mousse because it's not just pudding, but butter, cream cheese, and powdered sugar as well. I wrote RIP in frosting on english tea cookies, threw in some ghost peeps and plastic skeletons and it was a big hit. It was definitely all eaten by the time everyone went home.

Pinterest Problems
I'm addicted. I wish I wasn't.
I feel compelled to share with you the Pinterest projects I've done in the last week. I'm doing this just to convince myself my pinning isn't senseless. Sometimes I do stuff.
So there you have it. Will someone please email the hubster and tell him this is not a useless addiction after all?

I have a ton of old summer camp shirts at home and as a new gym rat, I thought these would be cuter. I really like the one that I made. I didn't do the higher up in the front thing though because of the dangler. No one wants to see a dangly stretchy skin mess hanging out in front of a shirt. No.
Super yummy and I didn't even have all the ingredients. Even Peanut ate it although it's not macaroni and cheese.
Amazingly delicious and super easy. Five stars for sure.
These were pretty good but I didn't get the oreos chopped up finely enough, then it would have been better. I tried using my blender as a food processor so I didn't have to dig the actual food processor out of the storage room, but it would have made a difference.
This was a fail. I'm not really that into red velvet cake and I just looked at the pictures so I put two big boxes of pudding in instead of two normal size boxes so the cake was floating on pudding. I still ate it though.
This was hard. I fell down.
I don't eat at Chik Fil A anymore because I don't want my money possibly being donated to an organization that donates money to continue to discriminate gay people. That's mean and it sucks. I'm really pissed that McDonald's or Wendy's couldn't have been the offender's because hello, Chik Fil A is DELICIOUS but alas, I cannot trade my morals for chicken. So I tried these. They were really good. Not as good, but they were for sure tastier than your average homemade chicken nugget.
So there you have it. Will someone please email the hubster and tell him this is not a useless addiction after all?

Mrs. Crafty Pants
I am not a domestic goddess. No, I am not.
My house is always messy.
I think cooking sucks big ones.
I would always rather buy or pay someone else to do something if it saves me time.
I found these little numbers on Pinterest.
So freaking cute, right? Well . . . you can buy them on Etsy. They are $32.99. This seller is super creative and these are adorable, but this poor mama is on a budget that doesn't allow for $33 for just two shirts. Especially two shirts that will have food and dirt all over them and be ruined in no time by the tornado twins that destroy everything.
A friend suggested a crafting and wine night. I mostly heard the "wine" part so I said "of course!" I was planning on making shadow boxes with the twins newborn stuff. Shadow boxes are ALWAYS on sale, always. Always except Saturday. I remembered the above photo.
I bought two shirts which were 30% off 2.99, I bought half a yard of fabric that was on sale for 30% off, ribbon for the necklace portion which was 50% and I bought the adhesive paper for the fabric which was not on sale but I had a 40% off coupon.
Two adorable shirts were made very easily AND they were less than $10 before taxes. Boo yah!! It would be better if they were sewn on too, but again, not a domestic goddess so I don't have the skills. Maybe someday.
My gorgeous nuggets wearing their new shirts.
