I mean, think about when you go out - you are busy with your own kids. Do you remember the other kids who were there? I suppose, if they were screaming bloody murder for the entire 45 minutes, I might notice, but as long as we are in a family friendly restaurant, I think kid behavior is to be expected. It would be different if I tried to take them to a fancy restaurant where people are not expecting little ones to be there. (I don't do that. But, sadly, I don't get a chance to go to grown up restaurants with DH alone either.)

We generally go to small local places. We are regulars at one place and my kids act like they own it. People who don't know us there probably think I am the worst parent ever, but the owners and all the waitresses love us. So, I let them have more freedom there.

I did have a mom at the children's museum's egg hunt tell me (after I had to calm Carl down for crying because he did NOT want to hold his own basket) "It gets better. I have one of those and it gets better." I think she was being supportive, but maybe she was telling me he is a brat. Believe me, I know he can be. lol I'll go with supportive. It was the children's museum, after all.

I hate cooking, too. :-)JILLhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00447998555531282836noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3468195659754987090.post-12884159588658900872012-04-13T09:20:17.043-05:002012-04-13T09:20:17.043-05:00Oh, cuteness!

I haven't done all four kidlets at a restaurant by myself, but I know that day will come...IASoupMamahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11222652185240780006noreply@blogger.com
